At Yesodei Yisrael, we are always searching for meaningful and exciting ways to deepen our students’ connection to Torah learning. This month, a brand-new initiative has quickly become a highlight of the week: the Parshas Hashavua Learning Incentive Program.
Each Shabbos, our talmidim are encouraged to review the weekly parsha, focusing not only on the storyline but also on key Rashis that serve as the foundation of understanding.
When the boys return to yeshiva on Sunday morning, a short Parsha test is administered after shachris. Every student who participates earns an invitation to our exclusive Parshas Hashavua Breakfast, lovingly prepared by our very own students which includes eggs, crispy hash browns, fresh fruit smoothies, and other specialty treats (depending on the week). Talmidim and Rabbeim enjoy breakfast together in a relaxed setting, with lots of schmoozing, guitar practicing, playing board games and camaraderie building. It's a great way to get re-energized and excited to face the week ahead!
We are proud to share that participation has been 100% since day one! During breakfast, students who achieve exceptional scores (and those who made the best food) are recognized, creating a positive atmosphere that celebrates effort, commitment, and success!
Keep checking on this album! We will add photos regularly.
