Hands-on Halacha: Rabbi Levi's Shiur Learns Hilchos Tzitzis

​Over the course of a few weeks, the boys from Rabbi Levi’s shiur have been excited to experience hands-on halacha in action! While learning the halachos and exploring different shittos on tzitzis, they went as a group to buy their own materials and then began learning to tie their own tzitzis from start to finish.

Rabbi Levi’s thoughtful experiential approach shows how often abstract or complex sugyas, with a little out-of-the-box thinking, could be turned into a living lesson. Rabbi Levi is known in the yeshiva circles for his unique ability to blend lomdus with creativity, craftsmanship and heart. Through this project, the boys will not only have a new pair of tzitzis (based on their own personal shita), they will gain practical knowledge, skills and a deeper appreciation for the beauty and precision of this particular mitzvah.
