This week, the talmidim of Yesodei Yisrael had the privilege of spending a meaningful day together in Yerushalayim welcoming in Rosh Chodesh Kislev.
We began the day with Shacharis at the Kotel, where our yeshiva shared in the simcha of a boy visiting for his bar mitzvah celebrating the Bar Mitzvah.
Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a delicious breakfast of rugalach, iced coffee, and chocolate milk, along with some special homemade chocolate-chip sticks prepared by the Rosh Yeshiva’s wife, Mrs. Kronenberg!
The next stop was the Old City for a visit to the home of Rav Yoel Rakovsky, a charismatic and engaging Rebbe with tremendous Ahavas Yisrael. Rav Rakovsky shared stories from his own journey after making Aliyah at age 16, reflecting on the challenges, opportunities, and growth he has experienced over the years.
The final part of the day was spent at the home of the Rosh Yeshiva’s parents, R’ Michael and Sharon Kronenberg, who opened their home with tremendous warmth and hospitality. Together, the boys enjoyed pizza, singing, and Divrei Torah!
We are grateful to everyone who helped make the day so meaningful!
